Jazzman — I follow the Polish markets for personal reasons. As far as Manhattan, parts of it are not much more expensive than San Diego especially when you consider “customary” apartment sizes. 800-1000 sf is family-sized, while it isn’t considered in San Diego.
There’s half the island above 100th St 😉 The problem is that most buildings are rentals and not for sale, so inventory/turnover will always be low.
