We have a wonderful purebred German Shepherd. No papers, but he’s the stereotypical GSD with no hint of any other breed. Already house trained when we got him. When we eat, he actually walks away and lies down about 20 feet away (trained by someone not to beg). We tell him to “go to bed” and he immediately trots to his pen and lies down on his bed. Loves being groomed and will even let you file his nails and brush his teeth without any fuss. Incredibly patient and kind with kids, even friends’ very young kids who are a bit too physical with him. Always watching over us, too. Awesome dog. Less than $150 at the shelter.
