1. In any significant, detrimental event , the only thing that matters is if you are less screwed than the majority of the people that are more screwed than you.
2. Speaking of something far fetched, fiction, that remotely *could* happen in the future with no rational basis is a darn good excuse for missing/missed opportunity in the past and present.
