Why shouldn’t public literature reflect the public. When I was a kid, I never saw asians in books unless it was about Coolies or bad “Japs” . The most famous black child in a book was a Sambo. Now they are everywhere and in a fair light . It’s normal….though this also has a politically correct feeling to it sometimes.
