I think that is clear. By the time the beating took place, the guy already had a broken back. I have some sympathy for him, he’s stuck in a hospital in critical condition. But only because he’s injured, not because he might not have deserved it. He was a fool to be where he was, standing in front of a car on a friggen freeway.
