I’m sorry too, as I’m currently embroiled in the horrors of landscaping as well. I’m astonished how much variation there is among different contractor’s prices. We’re basically doing everything owner-builder and hiring the subcontractors ourselves. Royal pain in the ass to do it this way, as you have to literally oversee everything, but the money we save is incredible, and in many cases the same subcontractors do the work. The same guys shot our pool as the neighbors. I’m lucky since my sister in law is my designer, and she can work out of my house most days. Still get plenty of calls from my wife during the day when things aren’t going quite right. One other benefit, since everyone is using Ruffino except us, our landscpaping looks totally different.
