When you’re 15 min from the beach and 45 min from the mountains, why would you even care to bother with a “stinkation” in your back yard? That would be like going to Paris and spending the whole time in your hotel.

Kids are also super adaptable. My family’s ~1500 sf beach house seemed HUGE to my sister and I as kids.
