oartypup left the building for her ranch in another state a while back. With her gold/silver/guns/farming supplies. She was the biggest doomsayer.
Arraya is still here. Still predicting a dramatic change.
Both are/were interesting to read.
I’m not as doomy as either of them… but I’m not optimistic. I’m just making my home as self sufficient as it can be – in case I have to shelter in place following an economic collapse… trying to deleverage – which won’t help with inflation, but will help me subsist on less. Putting in my veggie garden soon. Started the prep this weekend. Seedlings are started… If I can’t afford the grocery store food – I’ll grow my own.
As far as rioting in the streets – that could happen… the OWS thing shows there’s potential for it.
What is OWS doing? I haven’t heard MSM covering them at all.. I just keep hearing the headlines blaring in the background. Economy is getting better, apple is $600/share. Qualcomm is the next intel. Google is google. Facebook IPO gizzionaire.. Now’s a time to buy banking stocks……yada yada yada.. All hail the 2.0 bubble.
I’m out…sort of… Yeah, i work in a tech company and if everyone goes up, I do to. And If everyone craters, guess what? I’m no worse shape than everyone else… So I’m going to have my nice cruchmaster rice crackers that I just got at costco…because it’s one of the few things that tastes good that doesn’t contain soy…
Not eating soy sucks.
On a side note. I’ve have found out the painful hard way…Being contrarian. More times I am wrong than right, when it comes out to lining my pocketbooks. I can be the most logical person, and reason out why something shouldn’t be that way…But it ends up being that way… Classic point. No way in hell do I think QCOM is worth $68/share….And yet the damn thing keeps rising. Conclusion, I’m not smarter than most people. In fact, I’m probably dumber for thinking I might be smarter. Resistance is futile.
