[quote=DomoArigato]I have NO IDEA if the Ron Paul supporters that tend to SWARM online message boards are AUTHENTIC OR NOT, but I BELIEVE they are veritably assuring Obama’s reelection. I had a chance to talk today to MANY DEMOCRATS who had voted for Obama in 2008. Most of them aren’t exactly thrilled with Obama’s accomplishments (or lack thereof), but they are almost all UNIVERSALLY TERRIFIED OF RON PAUL.
When I dug deeper, I discovered that they weren’t so much SCARED OF RON PAUL, but they were mostly TERRIFIED OF HIS SUPPORTERS. In many cases, they had had run-ins with a Ron Paul supporter online. The experience almost always left them with a HORRIBLE AFTERTASTE. They had typically been open to an alternative to Obama prior to the run-in, but were so SHOCKED by the RANTS of the Ron Pual supporters that they decided that OBAMA IS MUCH BETTER than any of the alternatives on the right.

Frank, is that you? This is a 100% content free post, just a string of emotionally charged phrases carefully chosen so that those giving this a cursory reading will have a negative feeling about Ron Paul and his supporters afterwards. The casual reader will also have a sense that Obama’s reelection is inevitable and that it will be a good thing. The post seems designed to target in particular the swing voter who would normally vote Democratic but might be considering Paul for his anti-war and pro-freedom stance. Those lacking the background in psychology and NLP techniques will typically not recognize this sort of manipulation and the “trigger phrases” will recall the emotions the programmer wants the subject to feel.
RON PAUL SUPPORTERS SWARM
UNIVERSALLY TERRIFIED OF RON PAUL
SCARED OF RON PAUL
SHOCKED
TERRIFIED OF HIS SUPPORTERS
HORRIBLE AFTERTASTE
RANTS OF THE RON PAUL SUPPORTERS
OBAMA IS MUCH BETTER
That is the kernel of this post, the remainder is simply the Flintstones vitamin candy coating designed to deliver the content deep into the subject’s subconscious mind.
Language is a very powerful tool.
FWIW I am still voting Vermin Supreme in 2012. My neighborhood is overrun with zombies and I want to see them put to good use generating energy rather than shuffling down the street and moaning.
