2. Dick and Jane
American Beauty is a must see for Piggington users in my opinion.. Anette Benning plays a psychotic realtor and her performance is excellent.. If you haven’t seen it, look forward to some entertainment!
I just saw another good movie tonight called ‘Dick and Jane’. I’m suprised it’s not mentioned on here, but it seems like a perfect fit for the times.. Dick(Jim Carrey) gets promoted right before getting laid off from an enron type company.. after the promotion he and his wife Jane bought all kinds of stuff and updated their house.. finally after the layoff they are forced to give up certain things – very funny don’t want to spoil it.. but they even talk about home equity in the movie! I think most here would enjoy it.
Oh, yes, “Glengarry Glen Ross”. Folks, if you haven’t seen it, rush to your favorite video store and get it. IFC Channel also shows it from time to time. Great movie, great cast (Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon, Ed Harris, Kevin Spacey, Alec Baldwin, Alan Arkin). It’s THE real estate salesmanship movie. Nothing else comes close.

This is seriously THE southern california real estate bubble movie.. there are illegal immigrants, and the main characters son speak spanish from hanging out with the maid almost exclusively! LOL.. A few of these scenes will really stick with me, and probably even come true for some!!!
There are a few scenes that had my girlfriend and I both laughing at the same time which doesn’t happen too often… The movie is very easy to watch, thought it does have some subtle things that I caught which made me feel smart! I normally fall asleep during movies, but this one was easy to watch.. the ending is slightly weak, but overall I think it’s a very fun movie with pretty good acting.. this movie is right up the alley of someone who visits this site and finds sheeple’s behavior funny…
