Hold on here! The comments listed are kids being kids!
And to tell you the truth, some adults even do this type of thing – only in a much better concealed fashion.
This is a great time to teach your child about turning the other cheek, flu. You know the old saying, “sticks and stones”. We moved alot when I was a kid, and at a few schools I was the outcast because I was the newbie. They were communities that didn’t see a lot of new arrivals, and some of the kids didn’t handle it well.
The last time this happened was when we moved from Calif to Oklahoma when I was a teen. I had hair to the middle of my back and wore the typical Calif laid back clothes. I was teased and antagonized mercilessly by the cowboys at the OK high school. But by then I already had the skill to smile and move on. It really said more about them than it did about me.
The sooner one can learn that there are always going to be arses out there and that’s never going to change, the easier life will be in the long run. I’ve got better things to do than think about them.
