I used to shoot competitive trap and sporting clays in high school. I kept a Browning 12ga. over-and-under in my car, along with anywhere from 100 to 200 shells at any given time. The faculty were aware of this and it raised absolutely no issues and wasn’t treated any differently than my keeping my football helmet and pads in my car.

I cannot even begin to imagine the reaction this would incur now.
