Please don’t attribute too much to me. I just have a lot of time to read, and got good at cutting and pasting things that I read. I am looking forward to meeting all of *you*. I don’t know much at all.
July 19, 2006 at 10:54 AM #28848lindismithParticipanthmmm…. well we certainly wouldn’t all keep getting our fix of Piggington everyday if you didn’t post as much.
I personally have learned tons from you, Bugs, Private Banker, North County Jim, Rank and File, etc. And I just dig the stuff from HS, Asianautica, LostKitty Carlislematthew etc.
And love the new addition of SD Realtor, and some other newbies. (Sorry if I don’t personally mention each and everyone of you!)
It so weird to think of cyberspace as a community, but I think we exemplify it.
July 19, 2006 at 11:14 AM #28849JohnHokkanenParticipantI can’t make it this time due to a wedding, but I will try to attend in the future.
I think you’ve assembled a very cool on-line community. I think these things work out best when it involves a niche interest.
July 19, 2006 at 1:07 PM #28870sdrealtorParticipantI love what this board has become! 3 months ago it was one-sided the sky is falling commentary with no balance. Now some of the biggest bears are able to tell a newbie that they need to do lots of research and assess their individual situations before deciding whether to sell now or hang on. People with important questions can come here and get great advice and multiple viewpoints. The diversity of opinions and expertise of all of you amazes me. It makes me proud to have helped keep enough of you around long enough for this board to really evolve into something great.
I’ll be on the beach with the kiddies but sincerely hope you all have a great time on Saturday!
CHEERS!

July 20, 2006 at 3:15 AM #28955sdduuuudeParticipantAh, jeez. Here we go again.

I knew exactly what I was doing the whole time and wont get drawn into this nonense anymore nor have I for about 1 month. A few months ago when I arrived this site lacked balance and an audience. About a month or so ago I noticed a real change and commented on it. From there it blossomed. It now has balance as well as a much larger audience including some great contributors from diverse backgrounds. My overiding mission in life is to help people. This site now does that and I hope it grows from here. My experience and viewpoints are now well represented on this board by others so I dont visit or comment as much. This board is rockin and has attained a critical mass, I look forward to watching it grow and hope it has staying power.
Cheers!

July 20, 2006 at 4:57 PM #29020SD RealtorParticipantThis is from the other SD Realtor – (who joined a few days ago) AND who has taken some lumps from his wife for being so addicted to this forum….
I will try to make it as well. I am working out a deal with my wife….So it may involve me taking the kids (at least one if not both) up there. We have dinner with some friends scheduled for 6 but I would like to stop by just to say hello and dispense free sales agents horror stories for those who ask.
I to have really enjoyed this website and have recommended it to a few people already. I have personally learned alot….
I just wish I had more time to investigate some of the articles and paths that posters discuss.
July 20, 2006 at 8:04 PM #29032rankandfileParticipantLearning something from me is giving me WAY too much credit. I am green behind the ears compared to many of the experts on this site. However, I have learned a lot as a result. I thought that after Rich got his new position that this site would just fade away and disappear. The funny thing is that my participation has actually increased after that point! I guess I was wrong.
Unfortunately, I don’t think I will be able to make it to the Meet-N-Greet on Saturday, although I will try to make a cameo appearance if I can. I plan on going to Ponto beach with my old lady and daughter for the first time this summer. And no, she’s not an old lady. π
July 20, 2006 at 8:05 PM #29034powaysellerParticipantI just don’t have the time to keep up with all the posts anymore. In the last few weeks, activity has really picked up, with so many new people. The other night, I felt compelled to catch up on every single thread, and it took almost 4 hours, and I still wasn’t done. The forums are too big now to read them all…
July 21, 2006 at 2:33 AM #29060PeaceParticipantI’m new and still feel like I don’t know anyone so maybe I’ll make the next one. I’d like to get to know people better before meeting up. I have learned a lot from reading this blog and would like to thank all of you who participate.
July 21, 2006 at 8:46 AM #29066powaysellerParticipantPlease come, peace!
July 21, 2006 at 11:47 AM #29115lindismithParticipantyeah, this board has really grown!
I wish the forum’s interface was a little different. I can tell PS is going to burn out explaining the same stuff to newbies all the time. π It would be good if newcomers could see all the old threads, somehow grouped by topic.
I’m bringing “Hello, My Piggington Name Is” stickers!
I tried to make some in Photoshop with the Piggington logo, but they were a disaster! So, we’re just getting generic ones!See you all tomorrow!
July 21, 2006 at 1:01 PM #29130powaysellerParticipantI asked Rich if he could add the economic data to the Bubble Primer, and he reminded me that it’s already there. The newbies have GOT to read the Bubble Primer from now on, before I make one response.
If there’s anything new not covered, either Rich could update it, or someone can make a write=up and give it to him to include it in the Primer. He’s real busy right now, so he may appreciate having someone write a summary of new info. Just a thought.
