seems wrong to say that this is forcing kids to confront sexuality, any more than informing them that men and women are sometimes “involved” together. my kids knew from the time they were little that a man could “marry” a man, even if it’s not technically legal. They don’t see anything odd about that.

In fact, for most kids I think it’s much more intuitive than marrying out of one’s gender. after all, girls have cooties. theya re dangerous to marry.
