I received a marketing call yesterday from a company called Acro Energy (the guy on the phone said he was located in Temecula). They were saying that if my SDGE bill was over $150/month I qualified for subsidized solar. Lots of Rebates and I would pay nothing upfront. I found the people I spoke with annoying and rather ignorant (they sounded stupid and uneducated, which I suppose makes me a snob, but is one of my peeves), I am definitely interested in solar, but they were unable to provide any concrete details. I thought it would involve a visit to my home to evaluate the potential benefit of solar, roof capability all that….I offered to set up an appointment to meet them, they said it was not necessary to see my house. They never even asked about square footage. I took their number and said I would call them back at my convienance.

Has anybody heard of these folks or have any thoughts/suggestions?
