medicine is crazy. It seems like all the money is thrown at heroic life-saving measures at the end. We could set up a much healthier society much cheaper. I suppose some would argue that spending so much for a hsopital shows our dedication to human life. I doubt that. It’s more of a temple to technology and the hope for eventual triumph of the human mind over the forces of death and decay.
