After experiencing Chicago downtown for 1 week, I have to say, SD downtown still have a long way to go. There’s so much to do with 2-3 square mile of downtown Chicago. There are so many parks and trees everywhere. Millennium park was beautiful and free concert there was icing on the cake. Not to mention the magnificent mile, it put Horton Plaza to shame in term of shopping. The architecture diversity of the buildings there put SD downtown to shame as well. Some of those buildings were built w/in the last 50-100 years, yet they look like they’ve been there for several hundred years. Maybe in 20 years, when the entire SD downtown is fully developed, it might give downtown like Chicago a run for their money, but right now, it has a long way to go.
