I have allstate. I’ve been ok with them. Basically I have homeowners insurance, muti-policy auto for cars, and umbrella coverage, so my rates are pretty decent. I don’t have earthquake insurance, though I’m considering it.

AAA insurance I had was always good for me. I found that AAA has better service, though Allstate for me had better rates.

Allstate, however, will have issues if you own a pitbull (seriously…They asked).

You might want to check with your existing auto insurance to see if they also have homeowners..Your savings might add up if with a muti-policy discount + being a customer for some time.

If I could, I would switch to AAA..But since I’ve been with Allstate for some time, AAA can’t give me the “returning customer” discounts that Allstate does. Plus allstate gives great discounts with folks who have no accidents/tickets (or for folks that have gotten several tickets within a few months but weaselled out of them)
