Check City of SD and try to find a firefighter with an income below $100K (most were 130 to 150K) or a cop above $100K (most were between 80 and 95K)
Sorry another strawman argument from you. I live in my neighborhood because of the money I made in the private sector not in RE. I could not afford to buy here based upon a single RE income. Most of the realtors who own in my community are part of two income households with the other being not RE related.
Lastly, we both know a firefighter could afford to live here if they wanted to just like several other firefighters and cops I know who already live here. They are very easy to pick out. They are the 55 year old guys working in their gardens, washing their cars, waxing their surfboards and enjoying an early retirement while the 75 year realtors drive by tryiny to earn a living because they can never afford to retire. Sarcasm right back at you;)
