Both of those face a pretty busy intersection, especially when Sage Canyon starts/ends its school day. The street lights at night could be a bummer.
Houses that back to a busy road will be limited on their upward price potential, but if you get it for a good price and don’t expect it to rise as fast as homes without that negative, then at least you’ll go in with eyes open.
If you are not opposed to street noise, would recommend looking for homes with less busy streets. Two examples in that area are Carmel Creek, northeast of Carmel Mountain. Monte Claire has had several short sales like this. Here’s an example. http://www.sdlookup.com/MLS-090042384-3909_Lago_Di_Grata_Cir_San_Diego_CA_92130
The other street I’d look at is Carmel Mountain Road, east of Carmel Country (Brittany Forrest or Briarlake Woods/Concord Woods).
Having lived on a busy street, the noise can be aggravating, especially when you are trying to sleep, so would pick streets only residents use, not shoppers or school students or people trying to get to the freeway(i.e. main thoroughfares).
Trust me.. Even a busy street, it’s still a pretty good deal imho…The noise from the inside you won’t be able to hear with the double pane glass. Also, the brick wall in front will also block most of the noise.
