Good post SD R and yes Scripps Ranch too. It is convenient if you are a DR a Kaiser’s hospital in San Carlos, an exec in Sorrento Valley, an attorney that commutes downtown, a sales guy that likes a nice family area but doesnt like the beach. $1M is not a huge amount for someone with a household income of 200 to 300K. I know engineers and firemen that make $150K. Throw in a professional spouse and you are there. Lots of people have plenty of savings in the bank. This is not huge numbers for mid-career professionals in their 40 and 50’s. There are more of them out there then you could imagine.
Think of every business you regularly are a customer of. Someone owns that business and chances are they are making a good living off of it. If you are a salaried worker bee, its hard to relate but alot of self employed people make bank.
