Not an MD but ran track/x country high school. Puzzled by muscle issues as most running pain is usually joint related in my experience unless you are doing speed training and not accustomed to that. The only competitive runner I knew w/ constant muscle issues had compartment syndrome and had to quit. How long you been running/how often/which muscles specifically? ( I know not what you asked
