[quote=briansd1]What if Tylenol and Avandia were made in China?
Johnson & Johnson as a solid American company doesn’t seem immune from shoddy quality.
I hate to say it, but they are all the same. Buyer beware and choose carefully. Keep yourself healthy so you don’t have to take the defective drugs which might kill you.
Honestly, I’d rather use a defective car or defective toy than defective drugs, the effects of which won’t be known for decades down the road.
Brian, let’s not be naive here. Why you do have companies here that screw around product safety, the regulations in the U.S. are much much more strigent than say in China.
Remember all those tainted milk cases (melamine)? Well after the main businesssmen were executed (1 or 2), what happened? The same small companies that were putting melamine into infant formula/food started selling the same food to rural provinces in china…poor people who were disconnected from media/etc and didn’t know about anything…And a lot of the local authorities just turned a blind eye to it. I’ve never seen such a blatant disregard for humans as such…
Let’s not also forget that quite often, in China political prisoners are also executed so that their organs can be harvested, and so that collagen can be extracted for cosmetic use….
And no wonder…When your a country that has billions of people, you (as a individual) really don’t matter…
It doesn’t matter how one spins this…This is just plain sick….It makes BP look like a childs play.
