It changes all the time, frankly. Torrey Hills was in the #2 spot 2-3 years back in the district, and now it’s 2 from the bottom…

I seriously doubt it makes 1 iota of difference, frankly…Since all schools just teach to get good test scores these days anyway, and not really teach for the sake of teaching.

Corollary: if the kid is an idiot, it doesn’t matter how good a school he/she is anyway…LOL, that was mean. I shouldn’t say that.

The one thing I did notice about the quality of the schools, was the amount of parents volunteering. Sage/Ocean Air have a very large parent involvement. I suppose being this area has more of the “afluent” community in CV, it’s possible that more some of these families have a stay at home parent that can actually take the time to volunteer more… Just my guess, but it’s a guess.

Anyway, my kid already decided that when she grows up, she doesn’t want to be a doctor/lawyer/dentist/(insert your profession here) like her friend says…she wants to be a princess. Just fvcking great…Thank you Mattel from bringing us Barbie:)
