Have to concur with going Magellan. We have the Magellan Roadmate 1470 and love it. Two other people have bought identical units after riding with me – it is addicting!

As for the getting stuck in another state, I’ve never had a problem but my wife had that when we were in Vegas – it kept thinking we were at the Oakland Airport. Then she figured out she was going through the menus wrong…I think she kept selecting “resume last trip”….and coincidently we had just flown from Oakland to Vegas. lol.
