You are correct, very petty, but also quite interesting! I was absolutely certain the housing thing was a pyramid scheme – and it turns out I was right. My motivation for reading the tax site is not go “rub their noses in it”, but rather to laugh my ass off behind their backs. Petty indeed, and quite satifying.
