No way would I get an automatic. In fact, when I got the TT it was not intentional. I was looking for a turbo beetle at Miramar Audi/VW and they only had auto. Then they tried to sell me a convertible bug and I didn’t want it b/c it looked like an abberation of a beetle. They had the TT convertible right next to the bug convertible and I said, “If I want a convertible, I just as soon get a TT.” Half kidding. The guy said it was a certified pre-owned and they would give me a deal. Once I test drove it, that was it for me.

So a friend said to check for a certified pre-owned Boxster S, like 2005/2006. Would be a little over my 30k limit. Any thoughts?[/quote]

Porsches are reliable. But, maintanence isn’t cheap.
