I think the correct analogy here is that we were all standing arond watching people jump off the bridge while, in fact, it was crumbing beneath our feet plunging us all to our deaths…
As far as blame goes… I thought it was common concurrence that there was enough blame to go around and this was not centerlized to one entity only.
