Well go about a useful way then, DWCAP. Stop legitimizing the myth of calling and writing representatives to have your voice heard. It obviously does not work that way. That should have been apparent after the phone calls were 100-1 against the first bailout.
If you really want to make a difference you need to get a bunch of money and hire lobbyists.
That is how the bill was passed. The mortgage, RE and home builder lobbyists worked congress. You can’t beat having several dozen representatives jawboning your elected officials 24/7.
Sure you can make an argument about not being able to throw stones when you don’t do anything but you can also make an argument about doing something that provably does not work and throwing stones as well.
In fact, you could easily make an argument that hiring lobbyists is more effective than voting.
There is your solution, stop voting and calling and hire some lobbyists. Quit pretending that the former makes a difference.
