Your points are absolutely correct. Obama is just another politician. Obama is firmly embracing the expansion of governmental power that accelerated under the Bush admin.
I don’t believe that Health Care reform is in the same class as the Patriot Act nor do I believe we will be putting bullets in Gramps.
As far as the voting of the Patriot Act you are right, most Democrats voted for it too but what you conveniently forget is the only opposition was from Democrats and the whole attitude at the time was if you don’t vote for it you are a terrorist sympathizer.
I am really disappointed at some of the actions of the Obama administration. When you give the government an inch they take a mile and they never give any of the power grabsback.
I bash any President or governmental official who abuses power. Were you bashing Bush while he was pushing the Patriot Act or were you jumping up and down and saying “Democrats support it too”?
I have no party loyalty, only loyalty to my fellow American and the Country. Our country need Health Care reform and will be the first to admit the plan put forward is pathetic but it will force change.
