2: H1N1 is most like the 1918 strain genetically. It is not like the 1976 scare.

Amazing isn’t it that this new virus seems to be just like the 1918 variety. I wonder where it could have come from?

March 21 1997 – A group of Defense Department researchers has found genetic material from the notorious Spanish flu virus that killed at least 20 million people worldwide in the influenza pandemic of 1918.

What an amazing coincidence! Scientists dig up bodies that died of the Spanish flu in 1918 and now this new swine flu has the same genetic makeup! And of course Baxter files a patent for a pig/bird/human hybrid flu vaccine and is then caught putting live bird flu viruses in its seasonal flu shots.

100M flu vaccines at 10$ a dose is $1B. That’s a lot of green.

Oh, and the other piece of the puzzle is the new legal immunity from damages for vaccine makers.
