SD R, I find that people who already made up their mind (one way or another) will be very hard to convince to adopt the opposite stance. The only people who you can convince are people who are either completely open minded to all solutions or people who haven’t made up their mind yet. So, at the end of the day, it’s just fun to debate. I don’t suspect anyone to change their mind here either. At least not those who have expressed their opinion in this thread.

It seems like the only way your family would change their mind about Obama is to have one of this policy fail them personally. I hope it doesn’t happen for their sake, but I think that would be the only way to change a fanatic’s impression.
