Been lurking around here a couple years but didn’t register until recently, 11 years commercial service.
Happy to take a look, give an opinion, second opinion, trouble shoot, maybe even fix something, but probably not a residential install.
When people ask I have always referred to two former co-workers I trust and would be interested.
Looked at craigslist this weekend for some reason http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/sks/1256539635.html No liquid line filter/drier!? not cool. saved $18 (offset by the unneeded site-glass where the drier should be). The compressor replacement in a few years when it grounds will be 2k.
Apparently residential guys don’t think you need to pull a vacuum (let alone a proper vacuum), double whammy with no drier. Takes a few years for any moisture left in the system to turn to acid, eat the insulation of the compressors windings and ground, but it will.
