This implies that there is no middle ground between “doing nothing” and absolute all out invasion of a foreign country on false pretenses. The is of course a huge middle ground in our foreign policy responses to various crisis. I suppose around here you’re either W (invading Iraq on false pretenses) or you are Chamberlain? Please.
