And hmmm, I’m a software engineer and I sure don’t work 50 hours a week. Sure, it happens if I am super busy but otherwise I don’t even do 40. Oops! Hey, I work entirely from home and can work whatever hours I want as long as I get my assignments done on time which I 100% do. And I have been told flat out by my boss that he doesn’t care if it only takes me 30 hours to get something done that would otherwise take 50 hours. There is a lot of down time office bs that happens when you are physically at the office.[/quote]
1) Strictly bottled water for me from now on.
2) In our office it’s those who get more done, get even more work until they break, then they back off a little until they can handle even more., failing that they get downsized at some point (kind of dog eat dog , at least 10-20% turn over a year).
You must have a good boss who shields you from the Sales and marketing groups.
