The days of appliances built to last are far gone. It’s called planned obsolescence. My mom has a full kitchen of foo-foo appliances by Dacor and she has had nothing but problems. The only one that really works with no problem is her Sharp microwave.

Regardless of that I have never heard bad things about Kenmore from Sears. Alternatively, depending on budget I have also heard good things about Wolf. Although expensive they are built for operating in a commercial kitchen. I have heard BAD BAD things about Viking though, another commercial grade appliance company.
