Scaredy: Wow, thanks for that Kaczynski-like screed. While I might need therapy, you clearly need a copy of Strunk & White. You know what makes posts readable? Proper grammar and syntax.
I clearly struck a nerve with my “useful idiot” observation, but it’s apt. Vietnam didn’t save freedom? Really? Have you looked at it in the larger context of the Cold War? Have you looked at it in the regional sense of what happened after the US exited Southeast Asia? I’d say no, based on your comments. Ignorant is as ignorant does. I won’t debate with you, especially given your inability to understand basic facts and separate propaganda from those basic facts. Take a few moments and educate yourself on the “wars by proxy” of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, including Vietnam, Angola, Afghanistan, and Central America.
I won’t argue that Iraq has nothing to do with freedom. It’s part of an on-going attritional war of resources and, unfortunately, our economy and lifestyle demands it.
You have been thoroughly propagandized and you do fulfill the function of the useful idiot, which is spewing forth nonsense and invective, all the while priding yourself on your “knowledge” and “perspective”.
Don’t worry about upsetting me. I can see what I’m dealing with and you completely missed my points, so why bother trying?
