And, which working man was put at the point of a gun? The captain of the Maersk Alabama? Certainly not the pirates, right? That captain had every right to be there, whether from a rule of law perspective (right of free passage on the open seas) or a humanitarian perspective (delivering food to starving people).

So you show me some intellectual rigor here and support your argument and without using strawmen or ad hominem.

What I said had nothing to do with USA bravado. I spoke of the right of self defense. You’re conflating the Alabama and her crew somehow with US imperialism and nothing could be further from the truth. It’s a cheap plot device and without any basis in fact.

The Alabama and crew not only had a right to be there, they were fulfilling a moral good by doing so. They were attacked without provocation and without basis by pirates and the US intervened to save them. Show me where I’m wrong and how this is a “might makes right” scenario and try to do it without insulting me.
