a) I started reading cause I was getting crazy flak to buy, but it didnt make any financial sense. Took a while to learn what was really going on. Moved to SD and was a lurker in 2006. Poster in 2007. Does that give me chops yet or do I get my special pig decal only after a few more years?
b) You will please notice I also am happy for Bubblesitter. I wrote it directly into the first post. I am happy that they found a house they are happy with. I did not question flu’s congrats, and rather joined him. I questioned esmiths comment of correct timing without knowledge of more underlying facts. I questioned Waiting hawks assetation of good job because it denoted a sense of correct action to me when I first read it, but perhaps I miss read it as more than a simple gesture of happyness.
(Please notice I didnt ASK for any more facts, Bubblesitter has no reason nor cause to post any of those. Perhaps all of you know this individual outside of the blogosphere and know more than I do. That is why I prefeced it with not being an expert, I dont know bubblesitter’s situtation.)
But I find it interesting that we RAIL on people who bought houses “during the bubble” at outragious prices (or maybe not so outragious in the beginning) and then happily congratulate one of our long time posters without knowing anything more than “I negotiated for a long time and it is an ok deal cause I dont wanna wait anymore.” Especially since South Carlsbad SFH’s is an area that doesnt seem to have depreciated back to trend, making it bubble pricing as far as I can tell. Please excuse my misunderstanding of why it is ok for pigg’s to pay bubble prices in 2009 but it isnt ok for other people to have done it in 2004.
