under 20k??? why? this will be top of the line equipment in 2010. Why would they be selling it at the bottom of the market? Who EVER does that? My pickup was more than 20K, in 1999! And it doesnt have keyless entry or side airbags or a cd player or any of the once luxery stuff that how is becoming more common on base models. Itll happen, inflation adjusted of course, but itll take time.
I can buy a very roadable electric car now for around 80-100K but that’s not a Viable car to me, neither would it be if it was over 30K
And yes the Chinese are planning to introduce one (four/five seat four door) for around 20K

Yeah, right….Make sure you don’t an electric shock because they accidentally grounded the battery pack to the seat belt.
Meanwhile, I present to you. The Made in China car, the Brillance BS4…. which scored 0 points (yes “zero”) on Euro crash test.
Well at least for this couple, it’s a good thing. Both of them use to work for Countrywide, their home is upside down, and they are both unemployed. Maybe they can sue Lennar and become instant millionaires.
I see a lot of comparisons of China now to what Japan/Korea was when they were starting out. I’m not sure I’m bought into to this comparison yet. Japan/Korea (when they use to make stuff arguably that people called was a POS) generally had a safety conscious in mind. A lot of firms in China don’t, but that’s what sort of happens when you have a all controlling government that fails to acknowledge problems and rectify them .
