I hate to say it Murf but you just presented the typical discounter argument using inflated numbers.

Where did the 6% come from and why was it even in your diatribe. You know full well, best case scenario on the buy side is 50% of what you said. The buyers agent is never I repeat never paid anything close to 6%. Cmon you said yourself that you grew up in a realtor’s household.

The truth is I have no problem with what he get or gives re: discounts. My bigger gripe is what he sells and how much he lets his clients pay for those homes. I’ll admit it. I am one cheapass, grouchy sonofabitch who is very very picky about homes. I talk clients out of homes they want to buy all the time and in doing so talk myself out of a paycheck more often than not. If I was more like him, I’d make alot more money in this business….
