It’s pretty bizarre to hear urban, white collar professionals discussing those “Mad Max” scenarios in an almost commonplace fashion. I actually had a discussion with a financial services guy about which handguns were best in a gunfight. That was weird.
Check out “Cheaper than dirt dot com” for good deals on bulk ammo purchases. You need to be selective, especially with Berdan versus Boxer primed ammo, but you can find some great deals on surplus military grade stuff.
I’ve started “rolling my own” again (I got my Dillon reloader dusted off and operating), so I’ve been bulk buying brass, primers, powder and bullets in bulk. Availability has not been a problem, but I’m sticking with .45, 9mm and .30-06 for now.
