At the peak of the equities bubble, P/E ratios of 20-25 were considered “normal.” The equivalent in real estate would be a gross rent multiplier of about 240-280 … which I think was pretty abnormal except in the most bubblish markets.

So yeah, I’d argue that the stock market was even more bubblified than real estate.
