I keep hearing this but I have yet to hear a really good reason we cant cut our way out of it. Usually it just seems like some kinda montra that gets repeated so everyone will believe it. Mixed in with some overstated sarcasim of “or we could just fire everybody” a real debate never seems to happen.
We could cut our way out of it, the question is are we willing to accept the reduced services it would bring.
