DMV is exactly where the laid-off state workers will get realigned to. The layoff notices are only being sent to employees of General Fund departments. DMV, CalTrans, CHP are all special funded. So the “laid off” General Fund employees will get sent to these places to fill vacancies.

In my department, everyone with less than 3.5 years of service is getting a notice.
