Cannot argue with the postings on the thread. Nothing hard to figure out, create light and space and all the usual stuff you here. I would not worry about clothes but removing much of the personalization of the home is not a bad idea. You do not have to strip it bare nor do you have to remove every single picture and item. Just go with a less is more approach.
You want buyers to look at your home, not look at pictures of your family. You are going to have to pack sooner or later anyways right?
Like Jim said in the other post, the first week or two is really a key period in the listing. You dont have to vacate, just keep it clean and uncluttered.
