sdr: One of our friends locally works on the staff of the Marshall Faulk Foundation. A couple of years back, I asked the Foundation for a small donation of a signed item that my youth football team could raffle to help raise money.

Marshall donated two signed helmets, two signed jerseys and multiple pictures and cards (all signed as well) to the team. He also got teammate Torry Holt to donate a signed helmet and signed jersey. Needless to say, we were completely blown away by the generosity. What made it truly amazing is the letter we received from him the following season asking if we needed anything for that year.

Truly a class act. I enjoyed watching him play for SDSU back in the day (back when they were good), but I really became a fan (of the person) after that act of incredible generosity.
