I hate to do this but Costco has a very good Burgundy for the price right now. The Louis Latour Nuits St Georges 05 for 42.85. Its only at the Morena store, but if you are into Burgundy its worth the trip. I just had a bottle at Roseville with dinner last night. After 45 minutes to aerate it was beautiful.
Second SD does not have a good Burgundy market that is true. If you are into Burgundy, then premiercru.net is about as good as it gets. Get on the email list and wait for the sales. Last week was a doosy.
Third spend some time on winebid.com. No you aren’t getting an 91 Montelena for 50 dollars but I’ve bid and won over a case and a half of good Napa cab from good years for 25 and under in the last two weeks alone. You have to figure 30% all told for taxes fees and shipping but still at those prices its a good deal.
Still waiting for 05 Bordeaux prices to soften but 05 Burgundy has come down quite a bit.
If you are patient and know your vintages, prices are coming down. Next up BAROLO!
