these large houses would make fine Section 8 units as well – let’s see, Section 8 allows 2 adults per living space – in a 4500 SQFT house that probably means about 20 adults and their children
or halfway houses – probably about the same 20 adults (don’t worry, the residents have been rehabilitated)
or subdivide into illegal apartments – a large house like this probably has 3 or 4 bathrooms already – seal off some doors, throw up a wall or two and presto, 4 separate apartments
or mini-dorms – students and surfers would be happy living in this neighborhood and, if the price was right, wouldn’t mind having 30 people or so in the same house (after 20 who’s counting?)
