I called the number and spoke with her (and it sounded legit). She said she had not received any calls yet.
I also told her to have her parents contact The Salvation Army in Murrieta. They can assist with emergency food, store cards, and probably rental assistance. They can also put them in contact with other charities and agencies that can help.
